Standing\u00a0when speaking during meetings makes you the tallest person in the room, with the\u00a0widest visual perspective, thus giving you the perfect opportunity to rein in the\u00a0attention of your business counterparts.<\/p>\n

For women, the challenge of using effective body language is much greater.\u00a0Professional women, especially leaders, are constantly caught in a double blind. If\u00a0you are assertive and speak your mind, you are considered as masculine and bossy.<\/p>\n

If you speak in fluent euphemisms, and express your feelings and consideration for\u00a0others, you are too soft and feminine.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, there are ways around this double standard. Remember, your body can\u00a0speak for you.
