Google 在前年重組編入母公司 Alphabet 旗下，而在這時候最受關注的就是新任CEO Sundar Pichai。因為他不靠 Coding，卻領導了一大票 Google 工程師。在國外問答網站 Quora 上，就曾有許多人「問卦」。
TO曾經介紹，Pichai 畢業於印度理工學院（Indian Institute of Technology），而後才在史丹佛大學與賓州大學華頓商學院（Warton School）取得碩士學位。至於 Coding 經驗呢？
根據 Quora 網友回答：他曾經寫過基礎的棋類遊戲。

So, yeah he has done programming and hence, has written codes.
所以，他的確曾寫過程式。
不過，這並沒有阻止他成為成功的領導人。他在 2004 年開始擔任 Google 的產品經理，當時他就曾提議要設計一個新的網頁瀏覽器。雖然當時這個提案沒有受到太大重視，但最後證明了他是對的，而這個瀏覽器就是 Chrome。
同時也是推動 Google Drive 與 Android 發展的重要推手之一。在他的任期間，就推動了 3 代 Android 系統，包括 Jelly Bean、KitKat 跟 Lollipop，占了 65% 的美國市場。Pichai 對於 Google 在網路世界霸主地位功不可沒。
不只在產品上的研發，公司運營方面，他也是 Google 創辦人 Larry Page 的重要左右手。曾經成功說服 WhatsApp 創辦人不要將 WhatsApp 賣給 Facebook、說服 Nest 公司與 Google 合併。
Pichai 的成功告訴我們，誰說很會 Coding 才能當上管理一群工程師的主管呢？他靠領導能力，成為推動重要 Google 產品又影響公司決策的重要腳色。
